'Team Clutch' Wins Rochester Qualifier at 'The Pig'

40 Teams came out to Rochester's 'The Pig' last night. Creative team names reigned supreme with appearances by 'Finger Can be a Verb' and '2 in the pink, 1 in the...no wait 3 in the pink'. Although the team names were great, their skill level couldn't compete with the dominating 'Team Clutch'.

The tournament champions, composed of Mike Phillips and Travis Silcox went through the bracket undefeated. The final game was a very close match against 'This One’s for Mutumbo', whose combined height added up to well over 13 feet. “We're real glad we finally took down a WBPT tourney,” Commented Team Clutch's Phillips, “Tonight we found out we’re not just Team Clutch, we're Team Perseverance.”

You guys are right, beer pong is definitely a game of skill, and it was frustration more than anything while writing that. Having a big lead in a game and not being able to close out is a tough thing to take, but not an excuse to be a sore loser. With that being said, I would like to congratulate you guys on the win and to say good luck in Atlantic City. And I truly mean that. One of these times when Jared and I can both make it out to a tournament in Rochester I look forward to a Team Clutch (WNY) and Team Clutch (CNY) match. It should be a good one.

Wait, are you mad because a team didnt get themselves hammered and lose to you? Wait, you mean you want them to get so sloshed they cant shoot? Last time I checked, the game is about skill, not how much you can drink. Obviously CLUTCH has you tools dominated. Team Pup 'n Sudz congratulates CLUTCH. Maybe we will stop finishing 4th, stay sober ourselves, and win one of these damn events.

We played team clutch in a Syracuse tournament...they definitely drink...just usually straight from the pitcher

There's actually a decent list of people... 1. People who don't want herpes... 2. People who out drank you on the side.... 3. The team that whooped your ass on the table and took the Trip to Atlantic City because they were just That much BETTER than you... Jealousy is a sad disease, maybe you caught that off those nasty beer pong cups too. haha.
