Solvay, NY- The World Beer Pong Tour made its first ever tour stop at Mikey’s Tavern last night in Solvay, New York, right outside of Syracuse. 46 teams from the central New York area gathered at Mikey’s.
Many great players were in the building but the night belonged to Garrett Malise, who made a big splash onto the World Beer Pong Tour scene.
Malise and Chris Gish, both Long Island natives played as team, ‘Hey Sexy, Don’t Blink’ and went undefeated the whole night.
Malise was also a big winner in the ‘Play the Pro’ Competition, where contestants can test their singles skills against WBPT’s very own Neil Kapoor. Malise ended up turning his $50 into $150 when he took down the Pro in a 2/3 series.
‘Once I walked in the door and saw the sign to play the pro, I jumped all over it. We had a good series,’ said Malise.
